This hand is handcrafted and hand-stitched with upholstery fabrics from selected providers as Backhausen (Josef Hoffmann „Blumengarten“) and Sanderson.
References are fan and circle design-sketches from the Wiener Werkstätte. Additionally the selection and juxtaposition of the fabrics make a reference to American artist Miriam Schapiro of the Pattern & Decoration Movement.
Front and back side of the bolster are assembled in random patches.
The cover has a zipper and is removable, dryclean only. The bolster comes with a washable insert and a cotton pouch.
